The Meinberg GPS antenna system allows distances up to 700 m between the time server and the antenna. Unlike other competitors, the receiver is not included in the antenna housing and therefore not exposed to harsh environmental conditions (temperature, humidity). By using our GPS Optical Antenna Link system (GOAL), you can increase the distance to more than 2,000 m and avoid electrical problems you would have with standard cabling.

Scope of Delivery: GPS Antenna, 20 m of cable and all necessary mounting accessories. Other cable lengths and individual system configurations available on request.

The antenna features an integrated frequency downconverter that allows the GPS or Galileo signal to be transported reliably over long distances of up to 700 m using conventional low-loss coaxial cable.

GPS Antenna Distributor (4-port, external)

The GPSAV4 redistributes a signal from a Meinberg GPS antenna/converter unit to four outputs, which in turn are connected to up to four Meinberg GPS receivers. The signal distributor is fitted with an internal amplifier to minimize signal attenuation.

The direct use or connection of GNSS L1 components is not possible.

GPS Optical Antenna Link - Multi Mode

GPS Optical Antenna Link
The Meinberg GPS Optical Antenna Link provides a long-distance connection between a Meinberg GPS antenna and a Meinberg GPS receiver using a GI50/125µm or GI62.5/125µm multimode optical fiber.

The following satellite-based receiver types are suitable for use with a GOAL Antenna Link:

and older receivers of the series GPS163, GPS164, GPS165, GPS167, GPS168, GPS169 and GPS170 (but not GPS166 !).

GOAL-S is a GPS Optical Antenna Link - Set for connecting a Meinberg GPS antenna/converter (GNSS | IF | 15 V DC) with a Meinberg GPS receiver via a Single-Mode fiber.

ADU is an antenna distribution unit for connecting a Meinberg GPS antenna/converter (GNSS|IF|15V DC) to several Meinberg GPS receivers (up to eight receivers) via single mode fiber lines.
