NTP Time Server: LANTIME Stratum 1 Server for all Networks
LANTIME is Meinberg’s family of ready-to-run Network Time Protocol (NTP) server appliances, ideal for synchronizing networks of any size. Choose between several different external references sources such as globally available satellite systems GPS, GLONASS, future planned also Beidou and Galileo, Central European DCF77 and IRIG.
Even if your desired installation location prevents consistent reception of external signals, our highly stable, free running clocks can be deployed to keep your network in sync. Add our NTP synchronized displays to create a fully-featured time and synchronization solution optimized for environments such as control rooms or operation centers.
Overview: Available receiver types for LANTIME time servers
Meinberg’s family of LANTIME NTP time servers offers flexible high performance, with proven reliability and advanced security features. With full IPv4 / IPv6 support validated in NTP time synchronization as well as the configuration interfaces (Web-based, SSH and SNMP), LANTIME time servers are designed to be deployed in networks of any size and industry. Users can assign several IP addresses and the system’s IP autoconf feature supports automatic configuration.
The GNU/Linux operating system of LANTIME SBCs (Single Board Computers) is optimized to ensure a high level of security and reliability. The system’s large display shows the state of the NTP subsystem. System configuration requires only a standard web browser to access the extensive but straightforward html interface. Alternatively, a text-based, menu-driven setup utility can be started from the shell prompt after logging into the unit via Telnet or SSH.
LANTIME’s integrated security features ensure that time synchronization data can be reliably signed and secured by symmetric keys (MD5) and NTP autokey procedures. Clients are protected against manipulated time and man-in-the-middle attacks, verifying that NTP packets received were sent by the LANTIME system. Additionally, the entire LANTIME configuration can be completed using encrypted channels (e.g. SSH, HTTPS or SNMPv3). Flexible system management disables every unused or unneeded protocol to reduce possible points of attack.
To support network management systems, LANTIME time servers offer an extensive SNMP interface, accessible by SNMP V1, V2.c and V3. This allows the monitoring of all relevant system parameters, including operating system performance, network interface statistics, detailed IRIG, NTP or PTP status information, as well as the complete system configuration. The interface also can be used to alter the LANTIME configuration via SNMP set commands.
Based on modular system architecture, flexible LANTIME time servers may be equipped with up to two additional Ethernet ports, including optional fiber optic network ports.

Overview: NTP Time Server
LANTIME M4000
The Meinberg LANTIME M4000 has been designed to fulfill the synchronization requirements of modern 4G/5G/LTE networks. It is capable to act as a Primary Reference Time Clock (PRTC) and, because of its unmatched flexibility, can be deployed in different scenarios. The modularity of the IMS platform (Intelligent Modular System) allows the M4000 to be configured for all areas of a mobile backhaul network: in the core, metro or access network areas.
LANTIME M3000
The M3000 chassis has four power supply slots, two clock module slots, a seamless switchover card slot, a CPU slot and ten slots for additional input and output modules. Adding a second clock module and the required RSC switch module will turn the M3000 into a fully redundant solution.
LANTIME M3000S
The IMS LANTIME M3000S can be installed in 19 inch racks as well as 21 inch racks (with an adapter). The reduced mounting depth of the S chassis enables you to mount the system in 300mm ETSI racks.
LANTIME M2000S
The LANTIME M2000S is a field-upgradeable and extremely flexible system that covers your synchronization needs - today and in the future. Upgrading to more outputs, new connector and signal types and protocols is easier than ever with Meinbergs Intelligent Modular Synchronization platform (IMS).
LANTIME M1000
The 1U chassis provides two power supply slots, optional two clock module slots, a CPU slot and four (three in case of a second reference clock) slots for additional input and output modules.
LANTIME M1000S
The compact 1RU form factor, the hotplugging and hotswapping capabilities and the large selection of different modules for input/output sync signals, network synchronization interfaces and clock modules with different GNSS/radio receiver and oscillator options offer an unmatched reliability, scalability and flexibility.
LANTIME M500
The full-featured DIN railmount package has one power supply slot, a clock module slot, a CPU slot and two slots for additional input and output modules. Both, wide range AC and a 20-60 V DC power supply model are available.
LANTIME M450
For power supply facilities (Substation Automation), industrial applications and automation systems, the LANTIME M450 is an ideal time source for your network environments.
LANTIME M320
The Meinberg LANTIME M320 time server is used to provide highly accurate time to networks of all sizes. They synchronise all systems that are either NTP or SNTP compatible. As a reference time source, this NTP system typically use a built-in Meinberg reference clock or a compatible external time source (operating in stratum 1 mode).
LANTIME M250
Our LANTIME M250 can be built to support timing signals from any of the main satellite navigation systems in operation (GPS, Galileo, BeiDou, GLONASS) or from a long-wave timing signal radio service (e.g MSF or DCF77).
