Telecom Synchronization with MEINBERG Equipment
Meinberg Radio Clocks and NTP Time Servers deliver a highly precise and stable clock for the system, and provide precise NTP time for the network.

For example, reliable time stamps are necessary for diagnosis of system error messages.

Overview: Telecom Systems

IMS - LANTIME M4000
Ultra-Versatile Platform for Telecom Synchronization Application

The Meinberg LANTIME M4000 has been designed to fulfill the synchronization requirements of modern 4G/5G/LTE networks. It is capable to act as a Primary Reference Time Clock (PRTC) and, because of its unmatched flexibility, can be deployed in different scenarios. The modularity of the IMS platform (Intelligent Modular System) allows the M4000 to be configured for all areas of a mobile backhaul network: in the core, metro or access network areas.

IMS-ESI
ESI - Extended Reference Input
The ESI (External Synchronization Input) card is capable of adding additional synchronization sources to an IMS system. It accepts E1 and T1 sources, both as a Bitstream (2.048 MBit/s / 1.544 Mbit/s, supporting SSM/BOC) or Frequency (2.048 MHz / 1.544 MHz).

It also handles a configurable frequency (1 kHz - 20 MHz) and a 1PPS pulse synchronization source, if required. An ESI card is, as the MRI card, dedicated to one specific clock module (depending on the slot it is installed in) and can be installed in both ESI as well as MRI slots.

IMS - LANTIME M1000
Modular Synchronization Server for Communication Networks
Versatile Phase and Frequency Synchronization for Telecommunication Networks

The Meinberg LANTIME M1000 is an intelligent, modular synchronization solution in a 1RU form factor. Its flexible, modular design allows it to perform as both a Primary Reference Clock (PRC) and a Primary Reference Time Clock (PRTC), as well as fulfill many other roles in a synchronization concept for telecommunication networks.

Depending on its modular configuration, the M1000 can be enabled as a "mini-SSU/BITS," an Edge Grandmaster Clock, or a highly scalable core Grandmaster - synchronizing thousands of base stations or CPE devices like Femtocell Access Points, Broadband SUs or Home Gateways. Meinberg's market-leading IMS network time synchronization modules support all PTP telecom profiles, such as ITU-T G.8265.1, ITU-T G.8275.1 and ITU-T G.8275.2 as well as Synchronous Ethernet and Hardware NTP with 8ns timestamp accuracy via a Gigabit Ethernet interface.

SDU/EFB/MP
Signal Distributor Unit for E1 / T1 Telecom Signals

The SDU/EFB signal distributor unit is a signal diplexer that allows to connect up to 24 devices to one E1/T1 sync output. This is a very compact and cost effective way to increase the number of E1/T1 ports available for synchronizing telecom switches and multiplexer as well as other devices that require a 1.544 or 2.048 MBit/s reference.

IMS-LIU
Generation of reference clocks for synchronisation tasks
The module LIU (Line Interface Unit) generates different reference clock pulses which are derived from the GNSS-locked master oscillator of a preconnected satellite receiver. The output signals are available with high accuracy and stability therefore.
