Meinberg Announces the First of Two New microSync Models
Since its launch in 2019, Meinberg's microSync range of time servers has proven to be a popular, cost-effective solution for time & frequency synchronization with its modern design and streamlined performance. Like the more powerful LANTIME systems, the microSync family is a series of cost-effective GNSS-synchronized synchronization systems that are operable as PTP clocks (operable as a grandmaster, boundary clock or ordinary clock), NTP servers, and programmable clock signal generators all at once.
This new model, a variation on Meinberg's popular microSyncRX series, is designed specifically for data center and power substation applications that require front panel control access from one side of the rack while ensuring that cable connections are well-hidden at the rear. The front of the microSyncTRX series is defined by its clarity and simplicity–all that is visible is the easily readable OLED display, the status LEDs, and the rotary controller for the initial network configuration and status navigation.
Equipped with a full version of the powerful, synchronization-centric meinbergOS operating system, the microSyncTRX offers up all of the security and flexibility that the microSync line is known for, including the latest features introduced in the latest meinbergOS version 2024.05, specifically LDAP, TACACS+, and RADIUS authentication, native PRP for NTP and PTP traffic, and detailed analysis features for GNSS reception and clock performance.
Regarding the second addition to our microSync family, watch this space over the next couple of weeks—or better still, subscribe to Meinberg's YouTube channel for a sneak peek a few days ahead of the official announcement!
