Successful Participation in the EANTC Multi Vendor Interoperability Tests

Two telecom specific Meinberg devices participated in the Multi Vendor Interoperability Tests of the European Advanced Networking Test Center (EANTC). The results will be presented at the MPLS+SDN+NFV Interop Showcase from March 21 to March 24, 2017 in Paris, France at the Marriott Hotel Paris Rive Gauche.

Bad Pyrmont, March 21, 2017 - Meinberg, manufacturer of the world's most powerful and versatile solutions for time and frequency synchronization is proud to announce the excellent test results of the Meinberg devices at the EANTC Interop Test Event and would like to invite you, to meet the Meinberg team and its local partner Jtelec, at booth #307 in the exhibition hall of the MPLS+SDN+NFV Congress.

This year's interoperability tests included Software Defined Networking (SDN), MPLS and Ethernet Transport Technologies, Microwave Transport and Clock Synchronization. The Clock Synchronization part focused on Phase/Time Partial and Assisted Partial Timing Support, Holdover Performance, Source Failover and Degradation of Primary Source. Meinberg's LANTIME M1000S and LANTIME M4000 model successfully participated more than 30 times in multi-vendor combinations of 8 test cases showing interoperability with devices from Aviat Networks, Ericsson, Huawei, Juniper Networks, Microsemi, RAD and SIAE Microelettronica.

Details and descriptions of each test and their results are summed up in the EANTC Whitepaper, which can be downloaded here: EANTC / MPLS / SDN / NFV 2017- White Paper-Final_v2.pdf.

Meinberg's Intelligent Modular Synchronization (IMS) Systems for Telecommunication Networks are versatile phase and frequency synchronization solutions. Their flexible and modular approach allows the systems to perform as both a Primary Reference Clock (PRC) and a Primary Reference Time Clock (PRTC), as well as the ability to fulfill many other roles in a synchronization concept for Telecommunication Networks. The Systems provide relevant features and properties for telecom applications, such as the Phase/Time Telecom Profile ITU-T G.8275.1, ITU-T G.8275.2 with Assisted Partial Timing Support (APTS) for Edge Grandmaster functionality and Synchronous Ethernet support.

Meet Meinberg at the 19th edition of the MPLS+SDN+NFV World Congress. At its booth #307, Meinberg will demonstrate and show its latest telecom optimized synchronization solutions.
