Successful EANTC Interop Event Participation

From the 4th until 15th of March 2019 two Meinberg telecom optimized synchronization solutions took part in this years Multi Vendor Interoperability Tests of the European Advanced Test Center (EANTC) in Berlin.

Both the IMS LANTIME M1000S and the shortly available microSync^HR were tested during this event. These Meinberg systems provide properties for telecom applications such as the Phase/Time Telecom Profiles ITU-T G.8275.1/.2, Assisted Partial Timing Support (APTS) for Edge Grandmaster functionality and Synchronous Ethernet support. The microSync^HR demonstrated a very good performance in all these different network roles.

The clock synchronization part of the EANTC tests focused on the Precision Time Protocol (PTP) interoperability and performance (ready for 5G).

The LANTIME M1000S systems successfully appeared 10 times in different roles (Grandmaster, Boundary Clock, Slave Clock) and the new microSync^HR appeared 8 times, also demonstrating its versatility by acting as GM or Slave Clock in 4 different test cases. Our devices have shown that they can work with systems from ADVA, Ericsson, Huawei, Microsemi, Seiko and ZTE.

The results of these tests will be presented from 9 to 12 April 2019 at the MPLS + SDN + NFV World Congress 2019 at the Marriott Conference Center Paris in France. Detailed descriptions of the individual tests will be documented in the official EANTC white paper.
