Meinberg offers the new driver versions DKWIN 3.04 for Windows NT, 2000, XP, 2003, Vista and 2008 and the version 3.1.0 of the driver kit for Linux (Kernel 2.6) on the Driver Download Page . Both drivers support all Meinberg bus level products, i.e. all ISA, PCI and PCIe slot cards as well as the Meinberg USB devices. The drivers can be used on both 32bit and 64bit systems, the Linux driver now additionally supports the Sparc64 platform.

In addition to bug fixes, the new driver versions offer a number of new useful features, one of them is the support for TAI and GPS timescales instead of the default UTC/Local Time timescale. The memory mapped access (MMA) has been enhanced and improved as well. Some features are not supported on all devices and older firmware versions.

The Linux driver has been tested on current and older versions of a number of different Linux distributions and variants, including openSUSE, Novell SuSE Linux Enterprise Server (SLES), Redhat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), CentOS, Ubuntu (Desktop/Server) and Debian.

Further details and more information about the new drivers can be found in the changelog on the download page and in the readme files included in the driver package.
