Product Announcement: New Versions of the LANTIME DCF77 and IRIG Time Servers

The new generation of Meinberg LANTIME NTP Time Servers, called the M-Series, was launched last year with the two GPS-synchronized models M300/GPS and M600/GPS. Now the M-Family has two new members: The LANTIME M300/TCR and the LANTIME M300/PZF!

The two new models are planned to succeed the LANTIME/PZF and LANTIME/TCR, although both will be still available for a couple of months.

The LANTIME M300/TCR is an ultra-reliable and accurate IRIG-synchronized NTP time server and accepts both IRIG AM and DCLS input signals as its time reference. This way you can use your already existing time receivers with IRIG outputs to synchronize all your NTP and SNTP clients in your network.

The LANTIME M300/PZF comes with a Meinbergs PZF receiver, receiving the DCF77 longwave radio signal broadcasted by a sender near Frankfurt, Germany. This time signal is managed by the German Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB), Germany's official metrology institute and national timekeeper. The DCF77 signal can be received in most parts of central Europe.

The special features of the LANTIME M300 product series are:

• up to 4 Ethernet Interfaces (Standard: 2)
• 3 BiColor LEDs showing the status of the reference time, the NTP time service and the network interfaces at a glance
• 1 Alarm-LED signals a failure/alarm condition
• 8 Buttons on the front panel provide a convenient way to utilize the LCD menu
• The standard configuration of the M300 models includes a serial timestring output (providing a SYSPLEX timer compatible string and other formats) as well as 1PPS and 10 MHz outputs via BNC connector

Additionally, all features of the fourth LANTIME generation are included, for example:

• Supports all NTP V4 features (e.g. Symmetric Keys, Autokey, ...)
• Synchronizes NTP and SNTP clients (Versions 2 to 4)
• Full IPv6 support
• Comfortable and flexible configuration and monitoring functionality via a web interface, a text-based console and SNMP
• Secure administration using encrypted protocols like HTTPS, SSH and SNMP V3
• Other timeservers can be configured as a Fallback (up to 7 using the configuration tools)
