Product Announcement: New Rail Mount NTP Time Server

The LANTIME M400 Time Server offers unmatched flexibility for rail based installations. It can be accessed by network clients using (S)NTP or PTP and can be ordered with a wide range of different sync outputs to synchronize devices with pulses, IRIG timecodes, serial timestrings, reference frequencies and more, all in an ultra compact and full-featured DIN railmount chassis for industrial / electrical substation applications.

Today Meinberg announced general availability of their new high performance NTP Time Server appliance, the LANTIME M400. The newest member of the LANTIME family is a perfect solution where full LANTIME functionality and versatility meet stringent space restrictions and require a DIN rail installation. The M400 comes with the most common features for power substations, industrial automation networks and process control applications.

The successor to the LANTIME AHS and DHS models, the M400 includes a new LC display and keypad and a wider variety of options than were available in those models. It also includes an automatic display backlight feature for convenient viewing and setup in dark cabinets or dimly lit rooms. The keypad, display, and status LEDs are conveniently located on the front of the chassis, and the reference inputs and all output connections are located on a single panel at the bottom.

The M400 includes a Reference Clock that can synchronize to either GPS, WWVB, DCF77(PZF), MSF, available IRIG/AFNOR Time Codes, or an MRS version which can synchronize to a combination of these with user-selectable priority and switchover time.

A highly stable TCXO is provided to maintain timing accuracy during periods when the reference signal may be temporarily unavailable. Options are available for high-precision oscillators, additional serial ports, and frequency and pulse outputs.

Of course all other LANTIME platform features are part of the M400 package:

• Different configuration interfaces and protocols: SSH, HTTPS, TELNET, FTP plus professional monitoring capabilities based on SNMP.
• A flexible notification system, sending alarms and status messages as SNMP traps, emails, and to remote network wall displays.
• Three-year Warranty, with free software updates and phone/email support for as long as you use our products.
