OpenBSD Driver Support for Meinberg PCI Cards

The OpenBSD Project announced in late December that a new driver has been added to the free OpenBSD operating system: mbg(4) in its first version supported the Meinberg PCI32 card. Recently this driver has been updated to support the current GPS170PCI and PCI511 PCI cards from Meinberg.

The driver development, supported by Meinberg, was done by Marc Balmer. It extends the group of supported operating systems and allows users of OpenBSD - the BSD operation system that is famous for its high security level - to use a Meinberg GPS or DCF77 receiver as a primary time source.
