New System offers Visualization of Text Alarm Messages for Fire Departments, Emergency Medical Services and other Rescue Organizations
Large Digital Alarm Display
In cooperation with the Auxilliary Fire Brigade Bad Pyrmont [german] Meinberg developed a new display system for Alarm Messages in fire stations, rest room facilities, control rooms or operational control centers. This system combines a digital alarm receiver (Swissphone Patron Pro [german]), a Meinberg GPS163 and a Wall Display VP100.
In standby mode (no alarm received) the current date and time is shown, the clock can be synchronized by GPS to ensure highest accuracy. Of course the system can be operated without a GPS antenna, in this free-running mode manual correction of the time is necessary only once per year. This is sufficient for most ranges of use.
The system has been well tested for the last 6 months and informed arriving personnel equipped with only an audible alarm receiver fast and reliable about the current alarm situation. A feature that is currently worked on will add the capability to automatically forward received alarm messages via SMS in order to let people know as much as possible about the actual emergency situation even before they arrive at the headquarters.
The contact person at the Bad Pyrmont Auxiliary Fire Brigade is Maik Heinrich (maik.heinrich@ff-badpyrmont.de).
