New NTP Version for Windows (4.2.4p4)

Meinberg announced the availability of the new NTP for Windows version 4.2.4p4 which can be downloaded from the NTP Download page. The new version of the installer comes with the stable NTP version 4.2.4p4 from ntp.org, including the official HTML documentation and the required OpenSSL DLLs version 0.9.8e.

The new installer has been released for

• MS Windows 2000
• MS Windows XP (32bit)
• MS Windows 2003 (32bit)
• MS Windows Vista (32bit)
• MS Windows XP (64bit)
• MS Windows 2003 (64bit)
• MS Windows Vista (64bit)

The installer as well as the NTP binaries (ntpd.exe, ntpq.exe ...) have been digitally signed. Besides improvements for the Unattended Installation Mode (UAM) this version autodetects a the Windows firewall settings and offers to modify them in order to ensure a smooth operation of NTP on your Windows PC.

Windows NT users still have to use the older "fluxcap v2" version because this OS is not supported by the recent versions of NTP.
