New NTP Timeserver Models for Mobile Applications and GLONASS

Meinberg today announced two new aditions to their successful LANTIME product range. The LANTIME M300 is now available with two additional reference clock modules. The M300/GLN can use the Russian GLONASS satellite system in addition to GPS for obtaining highly accurate time and the M300/MGR has been optimized for mobile applications.

The new reference modules expand the LANTIME Series and emphasize Meinberg's claim to offer the world's most versatile and flexible multi-purpose network time synchronization solution. Both new models offer the full LANTIME feature set and run the same firmware that is used on all LANTIME M-Series devices.

The new LANTIME M300/GLN uses the Russian GLONASS system as its highly accurate time source in addition to GPS. It can be configured to only use either GLONASS or GPS satellites but also offers a mixed-mode which utilizes satellites from both GNSS in parallel.

The new M300/MGR model can be installed in moving vehicles and has already been tested aboard ships, different airborne platforms and on trains and trucks. The support for standard GPS-L1 antenna signals allows to use already existing GPS antenna systems and a number of profiles ensures the best performance for different movement patterns like pedestrian, automotive, sea, airborne 1g/2g/4g.

Meinberg plans to offer both new refclock modules (GLN and MGR) for other M-Series models like the M400 or M900.
