New Meinberg Antenna Switch

Automatic and manual switching unit for GPS, GPS/GLONASS and LF antennas.

Bad Pyrmont, November 26, 2015 - Meinberg one of the world's leading manufacturers of time and frequency synchronization equipment, introduces its new antenna switch - the AMX21/HS.

Antenna Switch Unit

The switching unit is designed for DIN rail mounting and expands Meinberg's concept of redundancy to the antennas. The switch allows the connection of two antennas to one receiver, from which one of them can be selected for data reception.

The selection between the two antenna/converter units can either be done automatically or manually. The operating mode can be selected by using one of the toggle switches. In the automatic operating mode the preferred antenna is selected due to information in the time code (number of visible satellites), which is generated in the connected receiver. To switch between the two antennas manually, the user only needs to use the second toggle switch.

The AMX21/HS is designed for all Meinberg antennas.

A redundant architecture stands for more efficiency and failure safety. Meinberg's product range offers several redundant system solutions. With the new antenna switch, Meinberg products now also include redundancy of GPS antennas.
