New GNM Receiver - Multi Band Based GNSS Time Synchronization

The new Meinberg GNM181 multi-band GNSS receiver module with nanosecond-level timing accuracy does not only meet the most stringent 5G timing requirements, it is also ideal for global deployments due to GPS, BeiDou, Galileo, and GLONASS reception, and is unaffected by ionospheric errors.

Multi Band Receiver and Antenna Figure: Meinberg GNSS MULTI BAND Antenna and GNM181 receiver module.

The module provides differential timing mode for highly accurate local timing and built-in security for highest robustness against malicious attacks.

The variety of inputs/outputs makes this combined GNSS receiver (GPS, GLONASS, Galileo & Beidou) the first choice for a broad range of applications, including time and frequency synchronization tasks and the measurement of asynchronous time events.

Key Facts:

  • Up to 4 GNSS constellations can be used in parallel (GPS, Galileo, GLONASS, Beidou)
  • Dual Frequency Support for GPS (L1, L2), Galileo (E1, E5), GLONASS (L1OF, L2OF) and Beidou (B1l, B2l) with new multiband antenna
  • 184 Channels
  • Automatic ionospheric correction
  • Fully compatible with all Meinberg IMS systems (can be added to a free clock slot or replace an existing clock module)
