Meinberg at the ITSF 2016 in Prague

The annual International Timing & Sync Forum (ITSF) is going to take place in Prague (Czech Republic), starting October 31st until November 3rd. As a platinum sponsor, Meinberg will be present with a a booth, showing a technology demo as well as the latest products.

Traditionally, the ITSF used to be an event for synchronization of telecommunication; however, this year a wider scope will be included as shown by its agenda. Next to standard topics of telecommunication, which are mainly going to deal with the introduction of phase synchronization for new mobile technologies such as LTE Advanced, the program includes presentations from areas of finance or the automotive industry.

As a long-time sponsor of the ITSF, Meinberg will be represented by a team of experts this year as well, who are going to have several lectures as well as be available for questions and discussion throughout the entire event.

This year, the Meinberg booth will present the worldwide strongest PTP and NTP solutions, the newest generation of the Meinberg HPS-100 modules. With its Gigabit Port, it is able to synchronize up to 2.048 Unicast PTP Slaves with 128 Sync/s and Delay Requests/s or answer up to 250.000 Multicast Delay Request per second. With the newest software, the HPS-100 card is also able to answer up to 250.000 NTP Requests per second as well as simultaneously provide exact hardware time stamps that are timed with 10 nanosecond accuracy.

Due to its scalability, a LANTIME M3000 or a M4000 can reach a maximum capacity of over 20.000 PTP Unicast Slaves or is able to answer about 2.5 million PTP Delay Requests or NTP Request per second respectively. Due to the Hotplug ability of the IMS platform, the capacity of a system can be adjusted to the needs of the network as required.

Furthermore, the new IMS-GNS Clock module that can use the four most important satellite systems GPS, Galileo, GLONASS and Beidou as a sync reference, is going to be introduced at the ITSF 2016. The new GNS technology allows the user to either use a GNSS constellation exclusively or to select a combination out of three of the four possible satellite systems.
