Gigabit Ethernet Interfaces for Meinberg LANTIME Time Servers

Gigabit Ethernet interfaces are now available for M300 and M600 LANTIME time server models.

MEINBERG LANTIME Gigabit Ports

Bad Pyrmont, August 1, 2012 - Meinberg Radio Clocks, a leading provider of time and frequency synchronization solutions considers the compatibility of Meinberg products with today's standards a major requirement. Therefore Meinberg is proud to announce that from now on a Gigabit Ethernet Option for the model M300 and M600 LANTIME time servers can be selected at the time of order.

Meinberg's GE option requires LANTIME firmware version 6 and will offer you increased bandwidth NTP performance and elimination of bottlenecks.

The LANTIME M600 time server with a GE option will be equipped with one standard 10/100 Mbps Ethernet interface and three 10/100/1000 Mbps Ethernet interfaces. The M300 model can be ordered with either one or three Gbps Ethernet interfaces in addition to the standard 10/100 Mbps Ethernet interface. Both Ethernet interface types support all protocols and can be used for management and time synchronization.

Currently available configuration possibilities of Meinberg's various Ethernet interface types for the model M300 and M600 LANTIME time servers can be downloaded at:

Gigabit Ethernet is a version of Ethernet which supports a theoretical maximum data transfer rate of 1 Gigabit per second. It improves network performance and can bring latency down to the lowest possible values. Gigabit Ethernet is commonly deployed directly to servers and important workstations.

Meinberg's LANTIME time servers are suitable for almost any application, because they can be individually configured by choosing between different form factors, power supply functions, reference time sources, and additional interfaces or outputs.
