End-of-Sales Announcement: ANZ14 and DIS14 Displays

The ANZ14 is a time & date display that derives its time & date either from the German DCF77 time service, a serial time string, or NTP server, and displays it on a high-contrast red LED display. The ANZ14 can be constructed to be powered either by an AC or a DC power source. The DIS14 is a custom version of the ANZ14 that was engineered specifically at the request of certain customers for a green LED display version of the ANZ14.

The successor of the ANZ14—the ANZ141—will be launched on January 1, 2024 and will be functionally almost entirely identical to the ANZ14, such that it will be operable as a drop-in replacement for ANZ14 units, providing seamless continuity with the same high-contrast, easily readable red LED display for time & date readouts. Please note that no successor for the DIS14 is planned at this time; the ANZ141 will only be available with the red LED display.

The decision to discontinue the ANZ14 and DIS14 has been necessitated by a decision to replace one of the components in order to secure long-term availability; however, the change is significant enough to necessitate a full redesign of the internal PCB, which is why we are formally announcing an end-of-sales process to give end users with strict product qualification processes ample opportunity to respond as necessary.

At time of writing, our stocks of the ANZ14 are forecast to suffice until the end of the year to enable a smooth transition to the ANZ141. The DIS14 is no longer available for purchase at this time. Existing users of the ANZ14 and DIS14 will of course continue to receive the same expert support that they are accustomed to; should it be necessary to replace an ANZ14 or DIS14 unit under warranty from 2024 onwards, it will be replaced with the newer ANZ141 at no extra charge.
