Announcing the GNMANTv2 - Meinberg's Next-Generation Dual-Band GNSS Antenna for Time & Frequency Synchronization

Meinberg is pleased to announce the launch of the GNMANTv2, its latest GNSS antenna for time & frequency synchronization. Supporting reception of almost every GNSS signal as well as a variety of regional SBAS constellations and commercial GNSS data authentication & validation solutions, the GNMANTv2 is fully compatible and optimized for use with Meinberg's GNS, GNM, and GXL type receivers.

With dual-band reception technology and a narrowband frontend filter, the GNMANTv2 is optimized for rejection of out-of-band signals such as LTE and 5G that lie not only outside of the standard GNSS L-band range but also in the 1256-1540 MHz range that is not used by any civil GNSS or SBAS service. A frontend high-gain LNA ensures that low-power GNSS signals are better amplified with a superior signal-to-noise ratio.

The antenna is housed in an IP65-rated enclosure and is rated for operating temperatures from -70 °C to +85 °C (-94 °F to +185 °F), ensuring that it can continue providing reliable operation even in the most extreme weather conditions, from searing deserts to arctic conditions to heavy rainfall.

The GNMANTv2 is the precursor to Meinberg's ambitions for a groundbreaking evolution of its GNSS synchronization technology, paving the way for many new incredible synchronization applications geared towards enhanced GNSS security, advanced monitoring applications, and greater synchronization performance.

With the launch of the GNMANTv2, Meinberg is discontinuing the production and distribution of the original GNSS Multi-Band Antenna ("GNMANTv1"), and will also cease distribution of the PCTEL GPSL1GL-TMG-40N antenna. All GNS, GNM, and GXL type receivers will be shipped as standard from now with the new GNMANTv2 antenna. Owners of the original GNSS Multi-Band Antenna will of course continue to receive the same expert support from Meinberg over the lifetime of their antennas and clocks that they have come to expect beyond its phase-out. Should it be necessary to replace a GNSS Multi-Band Antenna unit under warranty, customers will receive the newer GNMANTv2 antenna at no extra charge as a replacement.
