New Firmware Generation V7 for LANTIME Time Servers

The V7 firmware comes with numerous new features and upgrades for the LANTIME family systems and their management tools. This includes a comprehensive redesign of the web interface, as well as various security-relevant improvements. This new firmware concept introduces innovative solutions that fulfill today's and future network requirements.

Bad Pyrmont, October 15, 2019 - Meinberg, one of the world's leading manufacturers of time and frequency synchronization solutions, proudly announces that from today on, all Meinberg LANTIME time servers (M-series, SyncFire, IMS) will be delivered with the new V7 firmware.

Although Meinberg’s prior LANTIME Firmware generation V6 is being replaced by Meinberg’s 7th LANTIME Firmware Generation, there will still be Technical Support for all LANTIMEs operating with V6. Meinberg LANTIME time servers can still be delivered with Firmware V6 upon request.

Meinberg recommends upgrading your systems to the new firmware version to fully take advantage of the great feature set.

The LANTIME V7 Firmware supports following Protocol Versions: NTP 4.2.8p13, OpenSSH_8.1P1, OpenSSL 1.0.2t and 1.1.1d, NET-SNMP 5.8 and Kernel Version 4.14.58
