Announcing the Meinberg ANZ141 - The Ideal High-Contrast Time and Date Display Solution for Industrial Applications

Meinberg is pleased to announce the new ANZ141 Time & Date Display Unit. An evolution of the tried and trusted ANZ14, the ANZ141 is engineered for use in mission-critical applications, in particular but not limited to the telecoms and power industries. Designed to be installed in a control panel dashboard in control rooms and electrical cabinets, the ANZ141 provides high-contrast, ultra-clear date & time readouts for any conceivable lighting conditions using mature, failure-resistant technology.

Like the ANZ14 before it, the ANZ141 is available in three different models. The basic ANZ141 Display Unit is synchronized to a time string input via a RS-232 or RS-422 serial interface. ANZ141 models are also available with an integrated long-wave receiver to allow the device to synchronize to the DCF77 time signal (ANZ141/DCF), or with IP network connectivity to allow it to be synchronized to a network clock (ANZ141/NET).

A key new feature of the ANZ141/NET is the new IEEE1588 PTP support that allows the Display Unit to operate as a PTP slave and synchronize to a PTP master. Support is also provided for the IEEE C37.238-2017 and ITU-T G.8265.1 PTP profiles to ensure compliance with relevant standards. This is of course in addition to the established NTP support for synchronization with NTP servers.

The ANZ141 is now also easier than ever to setup, configure, monitor, and update, with newly added support for the free Meinberg Device Manager software tool, allowing the Display Unit to be managed fully from a PC over a serial or network connection.
