A Success Story about Meinberg Sales Meeting 2013


Meinberg Radio Clocks organized the fourth Sales Meeting in June 2013 for its agents and representatives coming from near and far around the world.

25 guests from 16 different countries participated in different events, starting with lectures about the latest Meinberg`s product highlights:
  • Intelligent Modular Time Server Platform;
  • GPS180 with 32 bit high performance processor, 12 channel C/A code, 10ns resolution and accuracy +/- 100 ns;
  • RSC180 a successor model to the current SCU board;
  • LCES - Lantime CPU expansion shelf;
  • SyncFire 1000, an extremely powerful NTP time sever which supports from 100.000 up to 1.000.000 NTP clients;
  • Additional and updated V6 firmware features.
Except for presentations, the participants took part also in an interesting interactive workshop. Here, each group of five people had to find an optimal commercial solution to a specific customer related time synchronization problem. The customer requests were from different application areas: power industry, finance and banking, telecommunications and solving a corporate IT problem.

The second day was dedicated to the Meinberg company visit and a hands-on training in our new Meinberg training facility. The participants were challenged by working with different Meinberg time appliances and their functions. Among others they practice how to replace faulty modules in 1U and 3U chassis time servers, how to troubleshoot a weak GPS signal reception, how to configure sync clients of the same and separated subnets and many other useful exercises.

The official part of the Sales Meeting was concluded by CEO Mr. Heiko Gerstung with remarks on improved business conditions for our exclusive agents and distributors around the world. Since our representatives together contribute a big part to our success, Meinberg appreciates very much their previous work and efforts and gladly welcomes a successful cooperation in the future.

Of course we didn't miss out the social part of the meeting. The participants and all the Meinberg team enjoyed a wonderful summer party in the beautiful spa gardens of Bad Pyrmont, among exotic palm trees, delicious food and drinks and great music which completed the excellent vibe of the evening.
